Aluminium alloy tubes find use in aircraft due to their high strength and low weight. Various alloys, including American alloys 2024, 5052, 7075 and 6061 aluminium tubes, are utilised in aerospace applications.
Our stock range of aluminium alloy tubular products includes the following:
2024 Aluminium Tubes, most commonly supplied in the T3 condition, are made extruded to QQA200/3 and seamless drawn to WWT700/3 and AMS 4088 specifications.
5052 Aluminium Tubes are produced in the O condition, to the WWT700/4 specification. Alloy 5052 tubes can be manufactured in small sizes.
6061 Aluminium Tubes are the most common American alloy tubular product and is available in O condition, T4 and T6, covering various specifications including WWT700/6, MIL/AMS-T-7081, as well as modern AMS specifications AMS 4080 (O) AMS 4081 (T4) and AMS 4083 (T6).
7075 Aluminium Tubes are less common but are required in aircraft maintenance and repair. It is made to T6 or T73 condition and often to the WWT700/7 specification for seamless drawn tubes. Larger sizes may be extruded to the QQA200/11 specification.
